What it costs, honestly

What it costs, and how the pricing works

Every project is priced specifically, because the honest answer depends on the floor. What we can tell you plainly is what the price covers, what moves it, and how it compares with the spend a fitout already carries. Send a floor plan and an indicative cost for that floor comes back. If you are building the argument rather than the budget, the business case for finance is the other half.

How it is priced

01

One coordinated project price

Design, content, the platform, the product, installation and commissioning, delivered and working, in year one. After that, the platform licence continues. Not a design fee with the hardware left off.

02

Scale changes the number, a lot

Design and commissioning do not scale one for one with floor area, so the rate per square metre falls as the floor grows, with zone count and complexity still moving it. A multi-floor or portfolio deployment prices very differently from a single floor, which is exactly why we do not publish one average and let it mislead you in either direction.

03

The other levers

The hardware specification: how many speakers the floor needs, and to what standard. And the content: a soundscape drawn from the existing library costs less than one developed bespoke for your building.

Soundscaping costs

Initial project cost

  • Zone plan, layouts and design
  • Soundscape content for each zone
  • Moodsonic platform setup
  • Loudspeakers, sensors and player hardware
  • Installation
  • Testing and commissioning

Quoted through the appointed installation partner.

Year two onwards

  • Moodsonic platform licence

Your quote sets out what is included. Scent design and other sensory services are priced separately.

Send us your floor plan and a short brief. We’ll outline the zones and provide indicative costing, typically within one to two weeks.

Who prices it

Priced through the people already on the job

This is normally priced through the AV or installation partner appointed to the project. They quote and deliver, and they keep the client relationship; we sit behind them.

If you do not have a partner on the job, we can recommend a network of preferred installers across the country who can deliver the soundscaping alongside your other AV and installation requirements. Either way, the number you budget from is built for your project rather than taken from an average.

Typical, not fixed

A price built around your brief

Every project is priced to its brief, and floor area, zone count, ceiling and services conditions and the amount of bespoke content all move it.

If you have a number to hit, tell us early and we will work to it. We would rather have the honest conversation about cost at the start than surface it at the end.

What it sits alongside

A whole floor, not one desk

A soundscape serves the shared working environment, across the workstations and spaces included in the design.

one person
A chair, a desk, a pod: each reaches one person.

On typical projects, the installed system, commissioning and three years of platform licensing work out to less per workstation than a single ergonomic task chair. Spread across that period, it is less than the cost of one cup of coffee per workstation per week.

The comparison is a way to put the investment in context. Your quote sets out the upfront and ongoing costs, and we can show you the calculation for your floor, including the workstation count and assumptions behind it.

Send us your floor plan and a little about what you’re looking for. We’ll recommend an approach, outline the zones and provide an indicative cost.
