This website, valeotechnology.com, is operated by Valeo Technology Pty Ltd, Sydney, Australia. Enquiries from Singapore and the wider region may be handled by Valeo Tech Pte Ltd (UEN 202507583H). By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What this site is for

The site describes what Valeo Technology does, the projects we show, the evidence we rely on and how we work. It is general information about our services. It is not acoustic, engineering, medical, clinical, educational or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice on your own building, your own occupants or your own project.

Evidence, results and outcomes

Where the site cites research, it names the study and states its limits. Where it describes results from installed sites, it says whose measurement they are. Results described on this site are specific to the projects, the buildings and the people involved, and they are not a promise of the same result anywhere else. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of an outcome, a certification, a credit under any building standard, or a level of performance on your project. What can be achieved on a given floor is established on that floor, by design and by measurement, under an engagement.

The enquiry and the indicative response

Our contact page invites you to send us a floor plan and offers a written response, at no cost, within one to two weeks. That response is an indication: what we would do, where we would zone it, what it would cost in outline, and whether the floor needs us at all. It is prepared from the material you send, using specialist design and document-production tools, without a site visit or measurement unless we agree one.

It is not a design, a specification, an acoustic report, a certification or a statement of compliance, and it is not advice you should rely on in place of an engagement. If you would like to proceed, we will set out the scope, the deliverables and the fee in a proposal, and the engagement is governed by that proposal and the agreement that follows it, not by these terms. We may decline to prepare an indicative response, and we will tell you if we do.

Material you send us

Anything you send us in an enquiry, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, photographs and project descriptions, remains your property or that of whoever owns it. You confirm that you are entitled to share it with us for the purpose of an enquiry.

We treat what you send as confidential. We use it only to prepare our response and, if a project proceeds, to carry out the engagement. We do not publish it, share it with anyone who is not working on your enquiry, or name you, your organisation or your project without written permission. We may use specialist design, formulation and document-production tools and project partners to prepare a response; in the ordinary enquiry workflow they receive the project material the work needs and not your contact details. Our privacy policy describes this.

Intellectual property

The text, structure, drawings, diagrams and design of this site are owned by Valeo Technology Pty Ltd unless otherwise stated. Photography and video are owned by the photographers, the practices and the clients credited on the page, and are used with their permission. Client names and marks belong to their owners. Research cited on the site belongs to its authors and publishers and is cited under its own terms.

You may read, print and quote short passages from this site for your own information and for the purpose of considering our services, with attribution. You may not reproduce, distribute or reuse the content, photography or design of this site for any other purpose without our written permission.

Awards and recognition

Awards and recognition described on this site are stated as they were given, by the body that gave them, and are not claimed beyond that. Where an award was made to another party, such as a client, a design practice or an integrator, it is theirs, and the site says so where it mentions it.

Links to other sites

The site links to third-party sites, including publications, awarding bodies, research publishers, video platforms and LinkedIn. Those sites are not ours, we do not control them, and a link is not an endorsement of what is on them or of their handling of your information.

Availability and changes

We may change the content of this site, and these terms, at any time. The current version of these terms is the one published on this page, with its effective date. We do not promise that the site will be available at all times or free of errors, and we may take it down for maintenance.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, we do not accept liability for any loss arising from your use of this site or your reliance on its content, or on an indicative response prepared without an engagement, and where liability cannot be excluded it is limited, at our option, to supplying the relevant service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
