For AV partners and builders

One line in the bid. No new trade on site.

Soundscaping is a scope most estimators have never priced and most integrators have never commissioned, which makes it look like risk. It is not. It runs through the trades already on the job, it is documented before you price it, and the design responsibility stays with us. This page is the whole arrangement, in your language.

Scope

One separable line item

Design, content, platform, hardware, installation and commissioning, scoped as a single line a quantity surveyor can carry and strike without touching the rest of the package. No allowances, no provisional sums, no design fees hidden in someone else’s trade.

Trade

Through the contractors already on site

Loudspeakers, cabling and a rack unit, installed by the AV or electrical contractor to our schematics. Ceiling access, cable pathways, power and a network drop. Nothing outside a standard fitout, and no wet trades, no structural work, no new subcontractor to induct.

Risk

Design risk stays with us

We produce the zone plan, the layouts and the documentation, we commission on site, and we stay responsible for how the system performs. The installing contractor carries installation workmanship, exactly as they would for any audio package, and nothing more.

For the AV integrator

Priced through you, not around you

The question every integrator asks first, answered first: the work is normally priced through the AV or installation partner appointed to the project. You keep the client relationship and the margin on your scope. We are the specialist layer inside your package, not a competitor for it.

What we hand you

Speaker and sensor layouts coordinated against the RCP, zone configuration, rack and network requirements, and a commissioning plan. Documented so your team can price and install without ringing us, and commissioned together so your people learn the system on the job.

Hardware you already know

Audio infrastructure from leading brands your team already works with, including Bose Professional, JBL, Bluesound Professional, Yamaha, QSC and K-array.

Moodsonic generates and manages the soundscapes, delivered through a networked audio system with acoustic sensors. Acoustic data is processed into metadata for sound levels, frequency and events. It is not conversation recording.

After handover

Levels and content adjust remotely, so normal tuning needs no truck roll and no ceiling access. Where you hold the service agreement, that stays your call to make, and we support it rather than intercept it.

Worth knowing for WELL projects: the standard’s speech intelligibility and audio provisions run through the same ceiling loudspeakers and the same commissioning visit as the soundscape. Those are audiovisual credits, not ours, and a coordinated install can earn them without a second mobilisation.

For the builder and the estimator

Where it lands in the programme

01

Tender

You receive a defined scope with drawings, not a vendor brochure. Send us the floor plan and the tender programme and we return a zone plan, schematics and a price for that floor, typically within one to two weeks, so the line in your bid is real rather than an allowance.

02

Documentation

Speaker positions coordinated early against lighting, sprinklers, diffusers and exposed services, because that coordination is where audio scopes usually go wrong, and it is cheap on paper and expensive in the ceiling.

03

Installation

Runs inside the AV or electrical package on your existing programme. Safe work method statements are provided per project through the installing contractor’s systems, and there is no plant, no wet trade and no follow-on trade damage risk.

04

Commissioning and handover

We calibrate to the finished space near practical completion, off the critical path, and the system is tuned remotely afterwards. A defect-free-friendly scope: nothing to paint around, nothing that moves, nothing the client can scratch.

Like for like

What the quote covers

Speech privacy is usually the first requirement, and the broadband bed is what delivers it.

Like for like, the loudspeakers, cabling and installation are much the same, so we are often competitive with a masking-only quote. A modern masking system can track the room and equalise per zone, and so can this. The difference is what is playing: generative soundscaping designed for the space, with optional background music and paging through the same loudspeakers rather than through a second system.

The practical read for an estimator: one ceiling package doing three jobs prices better than three packages, and it is one commissioning visit instead of three.

Working with your team

Designed into your AV package

We coordinate soundscaping with the project’s appointed consultants, AV integrator and electrical contractor, defining the equipment, installation requirements and commissioning scope.

Already have a team? We work with them. If you need support, we can introduce trusted partners suited to the project.

Start with a live bid

Send the floor plan from the tender

We return a zone plan, schematics and a price for that floor, typically within one to two weeks, at no cost. If the specification is masking-only, we will price what the specification asks for and tell you plainly what the alternative would cost, so you can carry both numbers into the bid.
